The Spotsylvania Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their tenth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 63-31 to Chancellor, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Spotsylvania was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-14.
Chancellor's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Charles Brown, who scored nine points along with five assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja?Den Mckoy, who scored 11 points.
Spotsylvania has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season. As for Chancellor, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.
Spotsylvania will be playing at home against the Yellow Jackets at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. James Monroe knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 20 matches -- so hopefully the Knights like a good challenge. As for Chancellor, they will head out on the road to square off against the Foxes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully King George focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Friday.
