Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Palestine). Everything went their way against East on Friday as they made off with a 20-6 victory. Kennedy Andre was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, East Palestine got a massive performance out of Sydney Jurjavcic, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three hits gave Jurjavcic a new career-high. Graycee Ford was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
East Palestine kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
East Palestine's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7. As for East, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.
