Plano West came out on top against McKinney on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive 15-run third inning. The Wolves put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 19-2 victory. The Wolves' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Kendall Prowell made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and not a single walk). Prowell was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Brooke Reasoner was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Abby Jennings was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Plano West was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .640. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Allen got the win against Princeton on Thursday by a conclusive 18-3.
Claire McKeever was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addison King, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Allen's win bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Plano West, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8-1.
