The Marine City Mariners lost against the Yale Bulldogs back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Marine City's rough 60-40 defeat to Yale might stick with them for a while. Marine City has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Mariners players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jonathan Hand, who scored 16 points. That's the first time this season that Hand scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Liam Adams, who scored four points along with 14 rebounds.
Marine City's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-4. As for Yale, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marine City will square off against Madison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Yale, they will head out on the road to face off against Richmond at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
