Football Recap: Central Makes It Four in a Row at Home

It's playoff time, and Central had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 33-23 victory over the St. Ignatius College Preparatory Wildcats on Saturday. 33 seems to be a good number for the Grizzlies as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Jelani Dippel continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 160 yards and one touchdown.

Central's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points per game. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, they moved to 10-3 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Central will welcome Edison at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Edison will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Central surely won't give up without a fight. St. Ignatius College Preparatory does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
