After losing to the Christian Academy Warriors the last time they met, the South Central Rebels decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. South Central walked away with a 49-40 victory over Christian Academy on Friday.
Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leah Stevens , who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Alexus Bryant, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Christian Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
South Central's win ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-9. As for Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
South Central won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Henryville at 6:00 p.m. on December 16th.
