The Northwood Timberwolves won the last time they faced the Los Osos Grizzlies, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Northwood wrapped up 2023 with a 66-49 win over Los Osos.
Zaid Yunis was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds. The contest was his 11th in a row with at least ten points. Tjark (TJ) Navarro was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Northwood has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Los Osos, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
Northwood won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bonita on December 27th. Bonita is on a three-game streak of home wins, Northwood a six-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Los Osos won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Inglewood at 2:30 p.m. on December 27th. Inglewood will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 389th, while Los Osos is ranked 101st).
