The Fieldston Eagles entered their tilt with the Staten Island Academy Tigers with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Fieldston enjoyed a cozy 67-48 win over the Tigers on Wednesday.
Fieldston's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jade ling Eng-stewart led the charge by scoring 38 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Eng-stewart has scored all season. Sarah Weinick was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
Fieldston is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. As for Staten Island Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Dalton the next time they take the court. Fieldston will head out to face the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
