Winning always takes teamwork, but on Tuesday Brady Brooker stepped things up a notch to give Stearns the 'W'. Brooker got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He is becoming a predictor of Stearns' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-6 when he doesn't).

Coming up, Brooker and Stearns will head out to challenge Lee Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Brooker had to take a defeat the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their matchup on Thursday 7-2. If he drops another game like that, the outcome could be different this time around.
