The Glenbrook South Titans will head out on the road to square off against the New Trier Trevians at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
After a string of three wins, Glenbrook South's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Rockford Auburn by a score of 54-52. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Glenbrook South came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Knights are ranked 121st).
After soaring to a 28-point win in their last game, New Trier came back down to earth on Friday. They fell just short of Evanston by a score of 37-35.
Glenbrook South's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-6. As for New Trier, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-6.
Glenbrook South ended up a good deal behind the Trevians in their previous matchup last Friday, losing 62-48. Can Glenbrook South avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
