Concord (N.C.) extended its winning streak to seven games with a 28-14 victory over
Cox Mill (Concord, N.C.) on Saturday.
The Chargers pulled ahead on a touchdown catch by
Haywood Forte, and subsequently went into halftime leading 20-8. The Spiders scored the winning points with a touchdown catch by Forte that came in the first quarter.
Concord came in allowing an average of 23.3 points per game this season.
CHS avenged last year's 28-21 loss to Cox Mill with the victory.
The loss comes after Cox Mill defeated South Rowan 45-36 last week.
Cox Mill (3-5) will play a 3A Conference 7 game against Central Cabarrus next week, while Concord (7-0) will take on Carson also in a 3A Conference 7 game.
