That makes it two consecutive games in which Gallion has scored at least 25% of St. Joseph Central's points. Sophie Ransbottom was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Despite the loss, Ironton had strong showings from Emerson White, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds, and Lola Hankins, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Peyton Deer, who scored 1 points.
The victory got St. Joseph Central back to even at 1-1. As for Ironton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
St. Joseph Central will head out on the road to face off against Sissonville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Sissonville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday. As for Ironton, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Chesapeake at 7:30 p.m.
