Everett proved they can win big on Monday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Southern Fulton Indians 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Everett wouldn't go down easily and took Southern Fulton into a fifth set where they got it done with a 11-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-14, 22-25, 25-19, 15-4.
Addy Wood paced Everett's offense, picking up 11 kills. Wood got some help from Laynee Cornell and her 21 assists. Finally, Nya Debolt kept Everett's defense grounded, leading the team with eight blocks.
Despite the loss, Southern Fulton still got an impressive performance from Kennedy Hixon, who had 16 assists and 15 digs.
Everett's record is now 6-2. As for Southern Fulton, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-3.
