River Springs Charter School had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 58-20 loss at the hands of the Calvary Chapel Grizzlies on Saturday.
Calvary Chapel was led to victory by Uriah Figueroa and Gilbert Samano. Figueroa gained 247 total yards and four touchdowns, while Samano rushed for 188 yards and four scores while picking up 11.1 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Samano is now averaging an impressive 103.8 rushing yards per game.
Calvary Chapel's record now sits at 3-1.
River Springs Charter School does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Calvary Chapel, they will welcome St. Joseph Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
