Silverado has gone a perfect 5-0 against Desert Pines recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. Silverado is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Foothill, who was ranked 12th at the time (Silverado was ranked 14th). The Skyhawks fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 6-5 on Friday. The Skyhawks have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Kevin Ruiz Guzman was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Angel Villa Peralta also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Silverado's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Desert Pines, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10-1.

Desert Pines' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Silverado has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .464. It's a different story for Desert Pines, though, as they've only averaged .342. Will they be able to contain Silverado's hitters?

Silverado took their win against Desert Pines in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-2 score. Will the Skyhawks repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
