Bulloch Academy and Pinewood Christian are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2017, but not for long. The Gators will face off against the Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bulloch Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Pinewood Christian will be coming in after a loss.
Bulloch Academy took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They breezed past St. Andrew's to the tune of 45-6. Considering the Gators have won six contests by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bulloch Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Danye Garvin, who rushed for 118 yards and one TD on only eight carries. Those 118 rushing yards gave Garvin a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Hubbard, who rushed for 77 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bulloch Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 279 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Andrew's only rushed for 64.

Meanwhile, Pinewood Christian lost to Frederica Academy on the road by a 28-14 margin on Friday. The Patriots haven't had much luck with Frederica Academy recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Pinewood Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sam Wasson rushed for 117 yards and two scores. The Patriots are 4-2 when Wasson posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise.
Bulloch Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.0 points over those games. As for Pinewood Christian, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Garvin and Wasson. Garvin just won't slow down this season and has run in 3 touchdowns while averaging 94.2 rushing yards per game. Wasson has been a dominant force too and has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 95.3 rushing yards per game.
Everything came up roses for Bulloch Academy against Pinewood Christian in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 48-7 victory. In that contest, the Gators amassed a halftime lead of 28-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
