If Sikeston were riding high off their 21-0 takedown of Central last Friday, that ride came to an abrupt end. Sikeston took a 7-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of Charleston. Sikeston were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Charleston apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat from the last time the teams met up.
The loss dropped Sikeston back to even at 3-3. The win bumped Charleston's record up to 5-1.
Next week Sikeston take on Farmington at 7:00 PM. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair. As for Charleston, they will face off against Malden. Malden took a loss in their last contest and are no doubt out to reverse Charleston's good fortune.
