Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Western). Everything went their way against the North Putnam Cougars on Saturday as they made off with a 20-1 victory. Considering the Panthers have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Western is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for North Putnam, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-13.

Coming up, Western will be playing at home against Harrison at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North Putnam, they will venture away from home to face off against Edgewood at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
