Meanwhile, Scott's Branch's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Saturday after their fifth straight loss. Their rough 44-23 defeat to Orangeburg-Wilkinson might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Scott's Branch has suffered yet this season.
Despite the defeat, Scott's Branch had strong showings from Zamaria Lowery, who scored nine points along with 15 rebounds and two steals, and Ziaier Bryant, who scored no points. That's the first time this season that Lowery pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Carvers Bay now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Scott's Branch, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
