Muskogee is 0-10 against Broken Arrow since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Muskogee Roughers will head out on the road to face off against the Broken Arrow Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Muskogee is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, Muskogee's game was all tied up 22-22 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They slipped by Ponca City 50-49.
Meanwhile, Broken Arrow stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 62-34 victory over Stillwater on the road. The win was nothing new for Broken Arrow as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Broken Arrow's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Macy Marraccini, who almost dropped a triple-double on ten points, ten rebounds, and nine assists. Marraccini hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Rekiah Bowen, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Muskogee's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10. As for Broken Arrow, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Muskogee was dealt a bruising 84-19 defeat at the hands of Broken Arrow in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Broken Arrow's McKenzie Mathurin, who went 10 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 41 points and 1 assist.
