Lake Country Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Trinity Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Lake Country Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sean Benton, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Jordan Goree was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Lake Country Christian's defeat was their 13th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-23. As for Trinity Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 6-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Country Christian will face off against Covenant Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Covenant Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lake Country Christian in Texas (Covenant Christian is ranked 131st, while Lake Country Christian is ranked 1040th). As for Trinity Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Grace Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
