Countryside will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Boca Ciega at 7:30 PM. Countryside have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Countryside had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They were fully in charge last Friday, breezing past Osceola 46-7.
Meanwhile, Boca Ciega had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They had victory within their grasp but couldn't quite capture it last week as the team lost 28-29 to Lakewood.
Countryside's win lifted them to 1-0 while Boca Ciega's loss dropped them down to 0-1. Boca Ciega's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a Countryside defensive front that amassed 10 sacks against Osceola, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
