Midlothian Heritage kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes, falling 3-0. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers and Pantherettes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2018.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 25-14.
Duncanville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaleeya Brown, who had 19 assists and four digs. Brown is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 18 or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Carpenter, who had ten assists and four digs.
Coming up, Midlothian Heritage will face off against Amarillo at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Duncanville, they will take on Nimitz in a tournament on Friday.
