This season hasn't been kind to the Flint Academy Falcons, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They were beaten by Faustina Academy 78-24 on Thursday. Flint Academy has struggled against Faustina Academy recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Ben Nelson was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for Faustina Academy. Nelson is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Denny, who scored 11 points along with five assists and four steals.
Flint Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Faustina Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flint Academy will take on Chisholm Trail Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Chisholm Trail Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Thursday. As for Faustina Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Lakewood Presbyterian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakewood Presbyterian is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
