New Haven's Ariest Vasquez recorded the longest rushing play in Northeast Hoosier this season in his game against Frankfort last week. Vasquez's team beat the Hot Dogs as he sprinted for 96 yards on the play and finished with 332 in all.
Fans got a thrill when Chandler Boggs and Drue Tranquill connected against Warsaw. The connection went for 79 yards, the longest such play in the league this season.
Vasquez was a force in the backfield as New Haven defeated Frankfort.
Boggs threw for 225 yards and 5 touchdowns. He went 10-19 with 2 interceptions.
Vasquez provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Jim Rowland's team beat Mike Quick's team. Vasquez's favorite target this week was Jordan Hogue, who caught 7 passes for 131 yards.
Boggs put up the best numbers in passing as Carroll beat the Tigers. Boggs' favorite target this week was Tranquill, who caught 3 passes for 121 yards.
6-foot-0 quarterback Logan Ormsby of Homestead is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2,053. He has also thrown 20 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Hogue. The New Haven star has 48 catches for 918 yards.
The Bulldogs' Hogue needs only 82 receiving yards against Norwell to crack 1,000 for the season. So far this year, he has garnered 48 catches for 918 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when New Haven takes on the Knights. At the moment, the Bulldogs are in first, while Norwell is in fourth.
Jeff Miller's team extended the longest winning streak in Northeast Hoosier this week by beating Jay County, 42-12. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Knights.
