Camden Fairview is 9-1 against Hope since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cardinals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Camden Fairview has three straight wins, Hope has 23 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, Camden Fairview got the win against Junction City by a conclusive 14-4. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Peyton Schroeder spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned runs on four hits.

At the plate, Matthew Reynolds was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Michael Betts was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
Camden Fairview hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Hope scored first but ultimately less than De Kalb in their game on Thursday. They lost 9-1 to the Bears.
Hope saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaiden Brown, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Brown also put up a double, which was his first of the season.
Camden Fairview's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Hope, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.
Hope's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Camden Fairview has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .438. It's a different story for Hope, though, as they've only averaged .352. Will they be able to contain Camden Fairview's hitters?
