The Fayetteville Academy Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Fayetteville Academy is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Even though Fayetteville Academy has not done well against Faith Christian recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Fayetteville Academy took down Faith Christian 51-37.
Fayetteville Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riley Duchon, who scored 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Duchon has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Polly Miller, who scored 18 points.
Meanwhile, Harrells Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Kerr-Vance Academy last Friday, but they still walked away with a 40-36 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Harrells Christian Academy.
Fayetteville Academy's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7. As for Harrells Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Fayetteville Academy and Harrells Christian Academy were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but Fayetteville Academy came up empty-handed after a 46-45 defeat. Can Fayetteville Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
