AAA Patriot recap Nov. 7, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to West Potomac, who took down 59th ranked West Potomac, 13-10. Dealo Robertson ran for 176 yards in the win.
Lake Braddock extended the longest winning streak in AAA Patriot this week by beating West Springfield, 43-9. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Bruins.
T.C. Williams's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Alec Grosser threw for 83 and one touchdown and Alex Bledsoe had 47 yards receiving. Julius Cooper helped T.C. Williams' passing attack out by catching two balls for 20 yards.
Lake Braddock's Caleb Henderson and Aj Alexander have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Henderson has thrown for 1981 yards this season, while Alexander, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 59 catches for 619 yards. Robertson from the Titans leads the league in rushing with 1364 yards.
Going into this week's game against Oakton, Jim Poythress' team's Henderson needs 19 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season.
T.C. Williams and the Wolverines played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with T.C. Williams eventually emerging with a 13-10 victory. Robertson in the win.
