McLean had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They took down the Wheeler Mustangs 64-48. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Mustangs are ranked 924th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

McLean's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hailo Moon, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 11 rebounds. Moon is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasidy Russell, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards.

McLean pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Wheeler, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, McLean and Wheeler will both be playing West Texas the next time they take the court. Wheeler will head out to face West Texas at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, while McLean will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
