The Rio Grande Ravens fell victim to the West Mesa Mustangs''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 57-0 loss at the hands of the Mustangs. Rio Grande has struggled against West Mesa recently, as their contest on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Elijah Brody continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for West Mesa, rushing for 180 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 75 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Brody's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards. Tavon Archibald got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Rio Grande's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for West Mesa, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-4.
