Softball Recap: Grant County Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Russell, Grant County was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Fleming County Panthers by a score of 7-2. For the Braves, this counts as revenge for the 16-0 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2018.

Grant County's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4-1. As for Fleming County, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Grant County will take on East Jessamine at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Braves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fleming County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Augusta at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Fleming County is facing Augusta at the right time seeing as Augusta is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
