Crater is a perfect 10-0 against North Eugene since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Comets will head out to square off against the Highlanders at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Crater has three straight wins, North Eugene has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, Crater was able to grind out a solid victory over Henley, taking the game 7-2.

Ally Nottingham made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Amanda Hammer, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Hayden Kenyon was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
Tualatin hit North Eugene with a five-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Highlanders lost 8-1 to the Timberwolves.
Ella Anderson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run.
Crater's record now sits at 3-1. As for North Eugene, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Crater hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .424. However, it's not like North Eugene struggles in that department as they've averaged .386. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Crater got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against North Eugene by a conclusive 15-7 score. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Highlanders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
