Max Mankins put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in February on Wednesday. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Mankins' strong effort led Hughson over Sonora and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
