Evan Slone and Shaun Woodie provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Nicholas County. The connection went for 68 yards, the longest such play in 1A District 4 this season.
Beechwood and Dixie Heights played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Beechwood eventually emerging with a 33-28 victory.
Ludlow's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Slone threw for 96 and one touchdown and Woodie had 68 yards receiving. On the ground Jeremiah Martin chipped in 17 yards. Marcus Roark helped Ludlow's passing attack out by catching one ball for 24 yards.
Ludlow's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Mitchell Cody has thrown for 479 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Zach Cole has 11 catches for 207 yards. Anthony Jordan leads the league in rushing with 161 yards.
The top two teams in 1A District 4 will face off this week when first place Bellevue takes on second place Beechwood. Last week, Bellevue, while the Tigers defeated the Colonels.
