The Council Rock South Golden Hawks will head out on the road to take on the Neshaminy Skins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Council Rock South ended up a good deal behind Bensalem and lost 64-49. While losing is never fun, Council Rock South can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 127th, while Bensalem is ranked 50th).
Meanwhile, Neshaminy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Pennsbury by a score of 53-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Neshaminy has suffered yet this season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Emeer Coombs, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Guy Horton, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Council Rock South's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5. As for Neshaminy, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7.
Council Rock South beat Neshaminy 43-33 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Council Rock South since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
