It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Curlew Cougars ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-57 win over Selkirk. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Logan Thompson, who scored 34 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Logan Ringstad was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Curlew and bumps their season record up to 7-13. As for Selkirk, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
Curlew does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Selkirk also has no future games currently scheduled.
