Hopefully Sunrise Christian Academy Silver is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Storm in their respective states (the Buffaloes are ranked 85th in Kansas, while the Storm are ranked 206th in Oklahoma).
Sunrise Christian Academy Silver unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Reno County HomeSchool.
Sunrise Christian Academy Silver's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Iyzrel Graham, who scored 20 points, and Xzavier Miller who scored 16 points. It was the first time this season that Graham scored 15 or more points.
Oklahoma City S has not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against Hugo by a score of 53-40 on Saturday.
Oklahoma City S got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Crayton Harland out in front who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Akeilius Patterson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Sunrise Christian Academy Silver's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Oklahoma City S, their victory bumped their record up to 8-17.
Sunrise Christian Academy Silver came up short against the Storm in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 46-42. Can Sunrise Christian Academy Silver avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
