The North Stars will take on the East Bakersfield Blades at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. North will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
North took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Tehachapi, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Stars narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Warriors 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Stars have posted since October 17, 2024.
North was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (96-93), but they still managed to win. The final score came out to 17-25, 11-25, 25-21, 25-18, 15-7.

North's success was spearheaded by the efforts of London Kleeman, who had nine kills, nine digs, and one block, and Remi Ford, who had 15 kills and two blocks. Those nine digs gave Kleeman a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Amber Redoble, who had 13 digs.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for East Bakersfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past South 3-0 on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Blades in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won nine in a row.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-10, 25-19.
North better focus on containing Kaylie Demison and Roxanna Ramirez as the pair were huge in East Bakersfield's win. Demison had 32 digs and two assists, while Ramirez had seven aces and six digs. Demison has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last eight times she's played.
East Bakersfield was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in eight consecutive matches.
East Bakersfield's victory bumped their record up to 12-5-1. As for North, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 6-10-1.
North beat East Bakersfield 2-0 in their previous meeting back in August. Will the Stars repeat their success, or do the Blades have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
