Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Antelope). They took down the Highland Prep West HORNETS 27-13 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.
Antelope's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luis Guzman, who picked up 172 receiving yards and one score. Trane Figueroa was another key passer, throwing for 387 yards and three touchdowns.
Antelope didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Madden Martin and Antonio Luna. Antelope received some extra help from Figueroa, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-4. As for Highland Prep West, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.
