Minooka waltzed into their contest on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lockport Porters, sneaking past 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Indians have posted against the Porters since April 16, 2016.

Minooka pushed their record up to 29-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Lockport, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-10.

Looking ahead, Minooka will host Bolingbrook at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lockport, they are taking a road trip to challenge Andrew at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Thunderbolts' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Porters' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
