Corliss is 3-0 against DuSable since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Corliss Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the DuSable Panthers at 5:00 p.m. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Corliss: 19.4, DuSable: 20.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
Last Wednesday, Corliss beat Little Village 29-16. The victory was just what Corliss needed coming off of a 42-14 loss in their prior match.
Meanwhile, DuSable earned a 52-39 win over Little Village on Friday. The victory was just what DuSable needed coming off of a 38-14 defeat in their prior game.
DuSable can attribute much of their success to Damaya Plant, who scored 20 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Plant has scored at least 25% of DuSable's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lanae Harris, who scored 10 points.
Corliss is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for DuSable, they have yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 6-3 record.
Corliss beat DuSable 35-23 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Corliss since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
