The Fremont Eagles will take on the Garrett Railroaders at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Fremont has given up an average of 7.2  runs per game this season, but Tuesday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Edgerton hit Fremont with a four-run first inning  on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against  the Bulldogs, falling  13-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat the Eagles have suffered  against the Bulldogs since May 9, 2016.
  Chloe Verdin was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  RBI.
Meanwhile, while it was Garrett who put the first  runs on the board on Monday, it was Heritage who put up more. The Railroaders fell just short of the Patriots by a score of  6-5. The Railroaders haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
 Ashlee Vanderbosch spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and five unearned) runs on six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances.
 At the plate, Garrett saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jayiden Feicht, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double. Another  was  Sarah DePew, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Fremont's loss was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 8-9. As for Garrett, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.
 Fremont suffered a grim  15-9 defeat to Garrett  in their previous matchup  two weeks ago. Can the Eagles avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
