Horizon will head out on the road to take on Cactus Shadows at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Horizon will be strutting in after a victory while Cactus Shadows will be coming in after a loss.
Horizon faced off against Canyon View for the first time this season, and Horizon walked away the winners. They didn't even let Canyon View onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Thursday. The victory was just what Horizon needed coming off of a 5-1 loss in their prior game.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Kaden Cox and
Will Mobley, who scored.
Meanwhile, Cactus Shadows fell victim to Notre Dame Prep's stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They fell just short of Notre Dame Prep by a score of 1-0. Cactus Shadows has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Horizon now has a winning record of 5-4-1. As for Cactus Shadows, they now have a losing record at 5-6-1.
Horizon took their victory against Cactus Shadows in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 3-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Horizon since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
