Lincoln County is on a six-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Sherman is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Panthers will host the Tide at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Lincoln County has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Lincoln County will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Point Pleasant, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. The Panthers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Big Blacks 4-2. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly two runs.

Bralin Peters spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Garrett Adkins, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.
Meanwhile, Sherman got themselves on the board against Tolsia on Saturday, but Tolsia never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Rebels. The result was nothing new for the Tide, who have now won three games by ten runs or more so far this season.
Luke Tagliente was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Southern, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
Sherman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .708. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Lincoln County picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-2. As for Sherman, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lincoln County has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Sherman struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Lincoln County was able to grind out a solid victory over Sherman in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, winning 3-0. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Tide have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
