Cruz was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Christian Heritage Academy Lions, falling 59-39. One positive for the Dragons, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Carson Acres had a dynamite game for Christian Heritage Academy, putting up 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of William De Las Alas, who posted ten points.

Cruz's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Christian Heritage Academy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Cruz wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 93-14 defeat against Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus on the 11th. As for Christian Heritage Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 86-47 loss against Morgan Park Academy on the 11th.
