Northridge has struggled against Heath recently, as their contest on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ruby Cermak, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Naia Moore, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Northridge struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Heath got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Caroline Robertson out in front who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Cash, who scored 18 points.
Northridge has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Heath, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northridge will take on Licking Heights at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
