Make it 11 blowout wins for the Everman Bulldogs this season. They claimed a resounding 61-9 win over Polytechnic at home. Given Everman's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 621st, while Polytechnic is ranked 1466th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Everman's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-11. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Polytechnic, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
Everman will head out on the road to face off against Trimble Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Trimble Tech has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Polytechnic, they will be playing at home against Southwest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwest comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
