The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (three). She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Serrano, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hesperia on Wednesday, sneaking past 8-7. The Diamondbacks haven't had any issues with the Scorpions recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Serrano let Wendy Arauz and Lilliana Gutierrez run wild. Arauz went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base, while Gutierrez went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Malone, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Serrano's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Apple Valley has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Serrano, though, as they've been averaging 9.2 hits. Given Apple Valley's sizable advantage in that area, the Diamondbacks will need to find a way to close that gap.
Apple Valley got the 'W' when the teams last played two weeks ago against Serrano by a conclusive 13-4 score. Do the Sun Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Diamondbacks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
