The Mountain View Toros will challenge the Mesa Jackrabbits at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mountain View has four straight victories, Mesa has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Mountain View barely beat Highland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Toros blew past the Hawks 9-2 on Friday.
Tadon Mcknight tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched.
At the plate, Ryan Person was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Kooper Klein was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Mountain View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Mesa lost 14-1 to Tolleson on Friday.
Mesa saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Carrizosa, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Mesa's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Mountain View, their win bumped their record up to 14-9.
Everything went Mountain View's way against Mesa in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Mountain View made off with a 10-0 victory. Do the Toros have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jackrabbits turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
