Sadly, the Flathead Braves/Bravettes are still looking for their first win of the season after 12 matches. They fell 67-59 to Big Sky on Thursday. Even though they lost, Flathead's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.2 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Flathead lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brodee Zahn, who scored 15 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Zahn has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Griffin, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Flathead dropped their record down to 0-12 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.9 points per game. As for Big Sky, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
Flathead didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-62 loss vs. Butte on the 10th. Big Sky will head out on the road to challenge Flathead at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Flathead has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
